A Legacy of Faith and Community
Bostwick Lake Congregational UCC has been a steadfast presence in the Rockford area for generations. Since its founding in 1846, our church has grown from a small gathering of neighbors into a thriving congregation, committed to faith, service, and inclusivity. Though our location has changed over the years, our mission remains the same—to provide a welcoming home for all who seek connection and spiritual growth. Our purpose is to create meaningful opportunities for spiritual growth and faithful action. We gather in worship to celebrate God’s presence through scripture, prayer, music, and the sacraments of Baptism and Communion. Committed to lifelong learning, we engage in spiritual education that nurtures faith and deepens understanding.
As a church family, we foster a community of acceptance, grace, and love, where all are welcome. Through service, we answer Christ’s call to care for others, advocate for justice, and steward God’s creation with compassion and purpose.
